Hunt Elementary opened its doors in 2003-2004 as the
third elementary school in the Newman Crows-Landing Unified School
District. Enrollment for the 2004-2005 school year is 456 Kindergarten
through fifth graders being served by 20 credentialed teachers on a
traditional schedule.
Hunt Elementary
School acknowledges and embraces the many cultural and ethnic similarities
and differences of its students and staff, and encourages the contributions
of all constituents to one vision of educational excellence. All
site personnel nurture and cultivate citizenship, responsibility, independence,
and believe that the school should be a catalyst for school/community-based
activities and the driving force behind uniting of parents, students
and staff to achieve the common goal of academic success. The goal
is to provide a positive school year, both academically and socially,
for all students enrolled at Hunt Elementary.
