3. Central Valley Opportunity Center Scholarship
Central Valley Opportunity Center (CVOC) strongly believes that higher education is the most effective tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and increasing the quality of life in our community. To that end, each year for the past 39 years, CVOC has donated scholarships to academically deserving, low-income high school students in its tri-county service area of Madera, Merced, and Stanislaus counties.Applicant must be from a farmworker or verifiable low-income family.Applicant must be planning to pursue education at a vocational, junior college, state college or university on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 units) beginning Fall semester. $1,500 (up to 6 winners)
4. Tri Counties Bank: Income Based Award Scholarship
Graduating senior from Stanislaus County with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and an EFC of $5,920 or less. $1,500 (one)
5. Tri Counties Bank: Merit Award Scholarship
Graduating senior from Stanislaus County with a 3.0 minimum GPA and outstanding achievements in academics, community service or entrepreneurship.$1,000 (ten)
6. Richard & Dolla Squires Memorial Music Scholarship
Open to graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree in music and demonstrating financial need. Preference given to students with a strong background in music.$1,000 (one)
7. Trinitas Farming Community Scholarship
Established to help fund higher education for farmers and agriculture workers within Stanislaus County, as well as their children and grandchildren. $1,000 (one)
8. Martella Family Scholarship
Open to children and grandchildren of current Martella Family Farms employees with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Employee must have three-plus years of employment.$500-$1,000 (multiple)
9. Health Careers Scholarship
Open to graduating high school seniors planning to attend CSU-Stanislaus and pursue a career in a health-related field. Scholarship is specific to first-generation students demonstrating need. $2,000 (multiple)
10. Dr. Grant E. & Colleen Bare Scholarship
Open to current Modesto Junior College students planning to transfer to a four-year college and pursue a degree in the fields of sciences, medical sciences and/or mathematics. Up to $3,000 (two or three)
11. Ron Brown Scholars Program
African American seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service and demonstrate financial need. Application available online Deadline: Jan 9. 2019

The Blue Diamond Growers Scholarship has been established for promising young students from California who plan to attend, or are attending, a college offering a four-year degree. 17. Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship
Lockheed Martin has launched a new scholarship program to provide opportunities to students who want to build their talents and change the world! Beginning in 2019, we are awarding 200 scholarships of $10,000 per student – renewable each year. The program will continue to add up to 200 new recipients each year, and will be open to individuals studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. The scholarship program doesn’t end with a check. Mentoring opportunities will be a key component of the program, and recipients will also be eligible for Lockheed Martin internship opportunities following their freshman year in college. 25. eQuality Scholarship Collaborative
eQuality Scholarship Collaborative has fostered student leadership for more than a quarter century. In 2018, our cumulative scholarship awards surpassed $1,300,000. eQuality Scholarship Collaborative awards scholarships to honor and encourage California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community.
In general, eligible students fall into one of these categories:
- Resident of northern or central California who completed or expects to complete high school or equivalent between 1 Jul 2014 and 30 Jun 2019;
- Resident of northern or central California who completed or expects to complete community college between 1 Jul 2014 and 30 Jun 2019;
- Enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited ADN or BSN RN program in California; or
- Pursuing a graduate degree in another health care field at an accredited graduate school in California or as a California resident attending an accredited graduate school elsewhere in the United States

Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) Scholarship. A maximum of ten $500 scholarships will be awarded to Stanislaus County high school graduates. Requirements: Applicant must be a (1) graduating senior with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA) and (2) student of a parent who graduated from a PIQE program. The Italian Catholic Federation is a National Roman Catholic Fraternal Organization of persons of Italian ancestry who are of Roman Catholic Faith. 31. Valley Builders Exchange Scholarship Program
Valley Builders Exchange has a scholarship program for the benefit of the children or employees of Exchange members to help further their education. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the Scholarship Committee, based upon dollars available in the Scholarship Fund. Scholarship(s) will be awarded on the following criteria: 1. Scholarships will be available to graduating high school seniors or those currently enrolled in a college or trade school. Recipients must be a son or daughter of an employee of a Valley Builders Exchange member or an employee of a Valley Builders Exchange member. Recipients major must be in a field related to the construction industry. Scholarships for those currently attending college will be limited to undergraduate studies. 2. Recipient will be selected based on criteria from such categories as student activities, scholastic achievement, and participation in school and community activities. Verified G.P.A must be a 2.0 or better. 3. The scholarship, upon confirmation of acceptance from student’s choice of school, will be sent directly to the student or presented at the high school awards ceremony at the end of the school year.
