Last night Stanislaus County Office of Education held the countywide Employees Making a Difference Celebration honoring all of the individual district’s nominees. Newman’s nominee for the County Employee Making a Difference was Yuphaa Rolicheck from food services. We are excited to announce that the SCOE selection committee recognized Yuphaa and has nominated her to the State of California’s Employee Making a Difference award ceremony. Congratulations Yuphaa!

WOW (World of Wonders) Science Museum from Lodi came and modeled a chemical reaction experiment with second and third grade students at Bonita today. They mixed dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, yeast, and warm water to make elephant toothpaste! Students had to measure and use a scale to get the correct proportions of their chemicals. Scientists in the making! ⚖️🥼

Mrs. Plasencia and Mrs. Granados's classes from Von Renner Elementary School donated presents to the seniors during lunch today at the McConnell Center. They selected presents they thought the seniors might like and wrapped them themselves. Local Congressman Rep. Josh Harder attended this heart-warming event followed by a drive with School Board member RoseLee Hurst to deliver Meals on Wheels and more presents to our homebound seniors. Our hearts are bursting!
